Toy Story 3 a movie 15 years in the making is not one to be missed. Starring our favorite toys, Woody and Buzz Lightyear we join them again at a pivotal time in their existence. Andy is packing up to move to college and the toy’s fates hang in the balance. Just as many of Toy Story’s original fans who are now at, or soon to be college age. Similar to other Pixar movies, Toy Story 3 appears to be a child’s movie, with lighthearted setting but also has adult humor cleverly disguised. Making this film truly a movie for everyone. However, what I, an original fan, who was 5 when the first hit theaters appreciated were the hidden Easter Eggs throughout. You’ll see some familiar faces from other Pixar movies and some inside jokes. Pixar‘s attention to detail is just another reason they are incredible.
I will always be a fan of the first film, but this one really hit home for me, as i am a college student and can relate to Andy having to decide what to do with his beloved toys. However, what brings you to tears in this movie is the length the toys go to have just one more playtime with him and then returning to him to see him off. Definitely, a must see and one i will be buying on DVD. The next installment of Pixar‘s growing success.
Even with Toy Story having a large number of characters when it comes to a kid’s flick, there are a few new faces introduced, Lotso a purple stuffed bear with some interesting ideas about the fate of Woody, Buzz, and their friends, Ken (the mate for Barbie who joined the clan in the second film, Toy Story 2) and a new girl Bonnie is introduced who is as imaginative and caring as Andy.
My suggestion, make a plan to go see Toy Story 3 then its time to break out the old toys for some playtime.
